Headlines from a single news outlet, today: “National Park Axe Signs About Climate, Slavery and Japanese Internment”; “In Trump’s DC Surge, Helicopters Hovered and Surveilled Day and Night”; “EPA Tells Scientists to Stop Publishing Studies, Employees Said”; “Pentagon Demands Journalists Pledge to Not Obtain Unauthorized Material”.
Whoa! Sigh. Getting the message? Apparently not. The authorities are clearly frustrated that folx are not stopping, going away, leaving the scene. And folx who continue doing what they’re doing are clearly frustrated that the authorities haven’t stopped trying to forcibly stop. So what’s there to do? Sure… folx have rallied against the stoppers. You know, stop the stop. Needed. And we can just thrivingly prevail. Needed! More so! News outlets keep on reporting, please. Thank you! Every way possible, as the authorities won’t do so, let’s talk about and learn about and share about the climate, slavery, Japanese internment, and all the many things disappearing from the parks and museums and plain ‘ol signage. As the helicopters hover, now and then, wouldn’t be mad at a spontaneous block party breaking out with signs pointed upward, saying Have A Good Day! Are You Hungry? Smiled Lately?! Hooray scientists! Keep those articles going, the podcasts, the IGs, the Tik Toks. And journalists, when information comes your way, all information is now unauthorized and therefore precious and brave and so thank you for your diligence and bravery. Let us keep learning about good things and not so good things, and passing on useful knowledge, skills and ways. Prevail! Conspire to thrive.
